LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- St. Matthews Police say a man who burglarized a VFW post left his cell phone at the scene.

The alleged crime took place on Sunday, April 13, at 11 a.m., at the Zachary Taylor VFW Post #180 on Shelbyville Rd., near Bowling Blvd.

According to an arrest report, 33-year-old James Harmon used a wooden board to smash a window and climb in.

Police say Harmon told them he is addicted to opiates and was looking for money, but didn't take anything.

He did, however, leave something at the building: his cell phone, which police say they recovered.

Harmon was arrested by St. Matthews Police on Wednesday, and charged with third degree burglary.
