LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - LMPD officers arrested Bobby Ray Walker at his home on Gheens Avenue this morning.

According to LMPD Public Information Officer Carey Klain, police received a call from a relative of the woman who lived in the home, who asked them to go by and check on her.

When police arrived at the home, they tried to make contact. They tell WDRB that no one came to the door.

That's when the SWAT team was called as a precaution.

LMPD says a robot was used, and that's when 39-year-old Bobby Walker came out of the home.

He told police he did not know they were trying to make contract with him.

Police say Walker was in the home with his girlfriend and her teenage son.

A firearm was located in the home and Walker was taken into custody.

He has been charged with unlawful imprisonment, wanton endangerment, and violation of an EPO/DVO.

Police say there was not an existing "no contact" order with the girlfriend.
