LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police arrested a man they say struck a car and drove away from the scene without stopping, according to police records.

Eric Bratcher was arrested by police on Friday morning, after police say he struck a vehicle on S. 6th St. and then drove away without stopping. According to an arrest warrant, Bratcher hit the victim's vehicle on the right side and struck the mirror of the car.

Police say a witness saw the incident and followed Bratcher and recorded his license plate number.

Once authorities were contacted and spoke with Bratcher, police say he admitted that he had been driving the vehicle that had struck the victim's car. Bratcher also reportedly admitted that he did not stop because he had been drinking at the time of the incident.

The victim was not injured in the crash and the car sustained damage valued under $500.

Bratcher was charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
