Indiana set to review replacement standards for Common Core

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana was the first state to drop the Common Core benchmarks. Now the Indiana Education Roundtable is set to review proposed benchmarks meant to replace those standards.

The roundtable is led by Ind. Gov. Mike Pence and the state schools chief, and includes about 30 business, education and government leaders.

The group is scheduled to discuss and vote Monday afternoon on whether to endorse the new standards that would then go to the State Board of Education for final approval.
