LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky's high gas prices could be under the microscope.
The Federal Trade Commission has agreed to review a request by Ky. Atty. Gen. Jack Conway to look into the issue. Conway has previously done his own investigation into high gas prices. That information in now in the hands of the FTC.
The agency originally declined to look into the problem, but the new chairwoman, Edith Ramirez, has changed course. The FTC has not yet agreed to launch its own investigation, but will review Conway's information.
Conway had concluded that Marathon Oil's monopoly of gas supplies in Kentucky contributed to the high prices.
