Former UK player pays $10K, gets assault charge dismissed

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Former UK basketball player Terrence Jones will pay up to have a harassment charge against him dismissed. The Houston Rockets forward has agreed to pay $10,000 to a charitable organization that benefits the homeless.

Jones was arrested outside a Portland, Oregon nightclub last summer after police saw him walk past two sleeping homeless men and yell "Wake Up!" before stomping on one man's leg.

After the $10,000 has been paid, the misdemeanor charge will be dismissed.

The six-foot-nine ball player attended UK before being selected by the Rockets in the 2012 draft.
