Louisville Metro Police taze man inside U of L dorm building

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they had to taze a man inside a University of Louisville student dorm Thursday morning.

Shortly after 11 a.m., police say they were called to Bettie Johnson Hall, a dorm building near the corner of 4th St. and Cardinal Blvd., after they received a report that a man had stolen a wallet from an office.

Police say that suspect ducked into the dorm building, where he resisted arrest and had to be tazed. No one was hurt.

We're told the suspect -- who is not a student -- was taken into custody. Police say charges are pending.
