Bullitt County teen accused of plot to kill students found not guilty

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A teen accused of threatening to shoot and kill students has been found not guilty by a Bullitt County jury.

18-year-old Nicholas Bain was acquitted on Wednesday. The school district released a statement to parents saying he had been released without any restrictions from court, but he's still banned from all school property until the district determines his status for enrollment.

Back in December, police said they received a tip that Bain planned to go to Old Mill Elementary School and shoot and kill students. A family friend claimed it was all a misunderstanding.
