LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Roughly 70,000 National Rifle Association members were gathering in Indianapolis on Friday. They're pushing again for a law requiring all 50 states to recognize concealed carry gun permits from other states.

The convention will also focus on politics as the organization maps out its strategy for this year's mid-term elections and 2016.

A leadership forum today will feature possible GOP contenders for the White House, which includes Ind. Gov. Mike Pence.

But not everyone is quick to get on board with the NRA's message. Indianapolis gun control advocates blasted the NRA's claims, calling the ease of availability of guns in the city "obscene."
