LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A popular Indiana tourist attraction will remain closed through the summer after a boy was buried in 11 feet of sand.

Scientists are trying to determine what happened that trapped the 6-year-old boy at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. The Illinois boy was trapped for more than three hours in July. He went through weeks of rehab after the accident.

Officials have found more holes at Mount Baldy and its beach front along Lake Michigan.

The dune could stay closed until this fall.
