CLARK COUNTY, Ind. (WDRB) -- Residents of Clark and Harrison Counties are the latest to get scam phone calls from people claiming to be law enforcement.

The calls come from people pretending to be police officers or court bailiffs who say they have a warrant out for your arrest. They may also say you didn't sign up for jury duty. He or she then asks you for money, but you have to load it on pre-paid "Green Dot Cards" at Walmart or Walgreens to pay a fine.

Police say officers will never demand money on the phone and you should not pay a fine like this over the phone. If you receive a call like this, you are asked to write down details and report it.
