LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Learning the ropes from one of the best, that was the goal for local kids at a skills clinic Saturday.

Former U of L standout and fan favorite Luke Hancock hit the court at Floyd Central High School, mentoring kids about half his size. It's part of Hancock's Elite 100 skills academy, teaching boys and girls how to improve their game.

The clinic, for those in grades 4-to-11, included one-on-one training with things like shooting, dribbling, and handling the ball. Hancock was named "Most Outstanding Player" of last year's NCAA Final Four.
