40 more "Derby City Ambassadors" needed for Derby activities

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - In partnership with the Mayor’s Office and LMPD, MAN UP is looking for 40 more adults to serve as volunteer “Derby City Ambassadors” for the Pegasus Parade and during the upcoming Derby Weekend, according to a press release.

The duties of a Derby City Ambassador include:

  • Working at The Pegasus Parade on Thursday, May 1 from 5 to 9 p.m. or over Derby Weekend Friday, May 2, Saturday May 3, or Sunday, May 4 from 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Paying attention to youth, correcting them when they cross the line, and helping to defuse conflicts by serving as front line intervention.
  • Working with LMPD and others to report criminal activity.
  • Serving as a goodwill ambassador for Louisville.
  • Having fun and enjoying the Pegasus Parade and Derby Weekend.
