LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The horse everyone has been waiting for arrived at Churchill Downs this afternoon -- but somebody couldn't spell his name right.

California Chrome will likely be the favorite to win the Kentucky Derby -- and he's a big one at that. His trailer pulled up at Barn 20 at around 12:30 Monday afternoon among a throng of media on the backside of Churchill Downs -- and the Derby favorite announced his presence upon his arrival.

But it's too bad the person who arranged his cloth couldn't spell: the cloth declared the horse to be "Califorina Chrome."

About 25 media members were there to watch the favorite unload. The horse arrived before his trainer: Art Sherman's connecting flight in Phoenix was delayed.

His owners call him "Junior", but there's nothing junior about him. He is a big horse, weighing in at 137 pounds at birth (for comparison, the average is around 100 pounds.)

Blue Grass Stakes winner Dance With Fate also flew in with California Chrome and is at Churchill Downs now.
