LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A Louisville man was arrested after police say he allegedly assaulted his pregnant girlfriend, according to a police report.

Deaundrae Walker was arrested Monday morning after police say he was involved in a verbal argument with his 11-weeks-pregnant girlfriend, that became physical. The alleged incident reportedly occurred on April 7.

Police say the victim told Walker to leave the residence where the couple had been living together and that Walker refused.

Walker then allegedly punched his girlfriend in the face with a closed fist while holding a cell phone. The victim reportedly fought back, striking Walker as well. She ran away from Walker into the living where police say she hit Walker's PlayStation with a hammer.

Walker then allegedly pushed the victim onto a couch, then picked her up and threw her onto another couch.

Police say Walker then picked the victim up by her arms and attempted to push her into a closet in an attempt to prevent her from leaving the residence.

Walker then allegedly put a lighter next to the victim's hair and clothes to try and burn her. Police say Walker told her that they were both going to die. Police also say the victim fled into a bedroom where Walker shoved her onto a bed. Police records say that Walker told the victim he was going to hit her in the stomach with a broom to cause her to suffer miscarriage. Police say that Walker is the father of the unborn child.

Walker then packed his belongings and left, according to police.

The victim sustained a cut to the inside of her lip and a bruise to her left breast.

Walker is charged with unlawful imprisonment, wanton endangerment, terroristic threatening, and assault.
