Hodgenville city council expected to vote on whether to remove mayor

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Despite an injunction filed today, Hodgenville's city council plans to meet tonight for a hearing to remove its mayor.

Terry Cruse is accused of spending thousands of dollars of city gas money filling up his personal car.

The hearing was postponed last month because the mayor's lawyer said there wasn't proper public notice. During that meeting, an attorney for the city council gave a presentation saying the allegations went beyond gas money.

Cruse's attorney wants to present two to three days' worth of witnesses, perhaps starting tonight.

The injunction has not yet been signed by a judge, so council members say they will proceed with the meeting.

All city council members have to vote to remove him for it to pass.
