LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A child was injured in a house fire early Friday in west Louisville.

A young boy was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital with burns to his arms.

Firefighters were called to the home on South 32nd Street early Friday. Everyone who lived at the house was out by the time crews arrived.

Neighbors say two adults and three children lived at the home. Firefighters say the house is probably a total loss. The heat from the fire melted some of the siding on a nearby home.

It took firefighters about 16 minutes to put out the fire. The cause is still under investigation.
