LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville caregiver has been arrested for stealing from her clients.

According to an arrest warrant, 32-year-old Misty Arredondo was employed at an unidentified in-home caregiving agency in 2013, when she stole property from three different clients.

Police say she took $4,000 worth of jewelry and an undetermined amount of cash from one victim and sold it to Dan's Cash America on New Cut Road, near Southside Drive.

Some time later, Arredondo allegedly stole $500 worth of jewelry, as well as cash and other items from a second victim, and pawned them at the same Dan's Cash America.

Arredondo is also accused of stealing more than $500 of jewelry from an Alzheimer's patient.

Police say Arredondo was questioned and admitted taking jewelry from all three of the victims, as well as cash from one of the victims. She allegedly admitted to having drug and money problems. She was arrested Thursday morning at her home, and charged with theft by unlawful taking and knowingly exploiting an adult.
