LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB)--  Two men are behind bars after Metro Police say they tied up a man with rope and duct tape, then took pictures of it.

Bound, gagged and assaulted, police say the victim was able to get away and call for help.

"When I walked up here, there was four police coming around up here," said neighbor Daniel Oberstreet.

Louisville Metro Police say for two to three hours, Cuban nationals Maikez Gonzalez-Polo and Yuleisis Rodriguez held a man against his will.

"It appears there seems to be some type of disagreement between the men. They bound and gagged the victim. He did receive some minor injuries. It was perhaps from fists and the duct tape as he ripped it off." said LMPD spokesperson Alicia Smiley.

Eventually, the victim ran to another apartment a few doors away, where a neighbor called police. Now, the two suspects are behind bars.

"Sir, you are charged with unlawful imprisonment in the first degree and assault in the 1st degree,"a judge read in arraignment court.

Gonzalez-Polo and Rodriguez needed the help of a translator in court to hear the charges and plead not guilty. Their bonds were each set at $25,000 full cash.

"They allegedly also took pictures of him with a cell phone. Right now, we have not been able to obtain the cell phone. Once we do, we have a warrant in place for that. Once we're able to obtain it, we'll go head and look to see what those pictures show," Smiley said.

Police say the three do know each other, but there are still several unanswered questions about this case. They have not determined the suspects' motive.
