LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police arrested a woman who they say backed into a police vehicle at a White Castle restaurant.

It happened early Wednesday at the White Castle on the Outer Loop. That's where police say Melissa Bryant backed into a cop car in the drive-thru lane.

Police say Bryant pulled up to the restaurant's drive-through window to place an order, then abruptly put her vehicle in reverse and accelerated towards the front of the officer's vehicle, striking the front side bumper on the driver's side.

Police records also indicate Bryant was both unsteady on her feet and slurring her words when she got out of her vehicle. The officer reportedly could also detect alcohol on her breath. The officer then attempted to get Bryant to conduct multiple field sobriety tests, none of which Bryant was able to successfully complete, according to the arrest report.

Bryant was arrested and charged with multiple offenses including operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
