LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A grand jury has indicted four men on murder and kidnapping charges in Jefferson County, seven months after a body was found in Bullitt County.

In October, WDRB reported that the body of 45-year-old Robert Holt was found in the Knob Creek area.

Police said Joseph Starling, Anthony Jaggers, Robert Gene Smith and Robert Powell chased and beat the victim on Oct. 24, and then put him in a car.

The four suspects allegedly took Holt to another location and began beating him again.

Two days later, police say Holt's body was found hanging over a guardrail in Bullitt County, less than three miles from his home.

In February, Jeffersontown Police arrested Starling on drug charges, and discovered there were several warrants out for his arrest. He was then charged with kidnapping in this case.

On Thursday, a grand jury indicted all four men on charges of murder, kidnapping, engaging in organized crime and tampering with physical evidence.
