LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Just how much is a mother's work worth?
Insure.com ran the numbers and came up with just shy of $63,000 a year.
Here's how they broke it down using "typical" mom duties: Cooking and cleaning would pay about $12,000 in wages. Add to that $21,000 for child care, $7,000 in homework help and over $5,000 for being a personal chauffeur. The miscellaneous duties -- like shopping, finances, activity planning -- added up to $15,000. Lastly, the website said moms should be paid as a private detective for all the time they spend keeping tabs on kids.
The grand total came to $62,985. What would you have guessed?
