LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman was arrested after Metro Police say she stole property from a school where she had been a former employee.

Brittany Miller was arrested Saturday evening by authorities at an apartment on Breckinridge Lane after authorities say she stole $700 worth of property from the Oak School, located at 138 Evergreen Rd., where she had been a former employee. According to police, the theft occurred on the evening of April 28.

Police say Miller entered the school after it was closed using a pass code she had retained to enter the building.

Miller was recorded on camera taking property from the school. School employees reportedly recognized Miller from surveillance footage.

School employees contacted Miller and she allegedly said she would return the stolen property, but a police report states that she did not follow through.

Miller is charged with burglary.
