LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A PRP High School student was arrested after Metro Police say he disrupted school activities with loud and disruptive behavior.

According to an arrest report, 19-year-old Anthony Lamont Ware became out of control in the classroom Friday and did not follow instructions from a teacher when he was told to sit down and quit yelling profanities.

Ware allegedly told the teacher, "You got me [expletive] up" and a security officer had to escort him to the office because Ware refused to go himself.

Police say Ware continued to cause annoyance and alarm in the presence of the security escort and disrupted normal school operations.

The student is charged with "abuse of a teacher prohibited" and disorderly conduct.

According to the Kentucky statute, abuse of a teacher prohibited is when any person directs speech or conduct toward a teacher acting in a school capacity that knowingly undermines the discipline of the school.

A Metro Police spokesperson told WDRB that Ware "broke the law," and the arrest was warranted considering the student's age and that he continued his behavior in police presence.
