New Albany man accused of promoting prostitutes online

CLARK COUNTY, Ind. (WDRB) -- A New Albany man is accused of promoting prostitution at several places around Kentuckiana.

Charlestown Police say 32 year-old David McNeary was involved in a prostitution ring in Clark County.

He's accused of posting pictures of women on, offering sexual services for money.

Officials say McNeary would also have them meet clients at places like the Pyramid Motel on Highway 31 in Clarksville.

Clark County Prosecutor Jeremy Mull says in most cases like this, those involved use the money to buy drugs, especially heroin.

"People on heroin usually burglarize houses, they will get in very serious traffic accidents that cause injury and death to innocent people, so any time you identify people who are using heroin heavily, it's very important that law enforcement intervene," Mull said.

McNeary has pleaded not guilty. The four women involved also face charges.
