Second graders meet with circus clowns

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Second graders team up with circus performers for a little clowning around this morning.

Members of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Clown Alley met with students from Lincoln Elementary and kids from Home of the Innocents on Thursday. The kids learned about the history of clowning and the role clowns play at the circus. Two of the teachers even got in on the fun with these silly faces.

"Our medically fragile kids don't always have the opportunity to have this kind of fun experience," said Meredith Pack of the Home of the Innocents. "So we're excited that the circus is coming here today, so they can see the clowns and have some fun and stuff that they don't always see."

The kids even learned how to juggle.
