LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB)--  Purse snatchings in church and medical office parking lots, and Metro Police say surveillance videos and photos show the man responsible.

There's just one problem: investigators are still trying to figure out who he is, and hope to find the man before he tries to target more elderly women.

LMPD Detective John Green says the first case happened in a medical office parking lot on Newburg Road May 2.

"He pushed the lady down. She received cuts and swelling to her face, legs and he took her purse," Det. Green said.

He says on May 6, the suspect also took another woman's purse at the same location.

Green says the women are in their 60s and 70s.

On Mother's Day, authorities say the man took a woman's purse as she was headed into church on Taylorsville Road.

He was last seen driving a silver two-door Chevy Cavalier with a sunroof.

Police say he may have a drug addiction and that could be the motive for the robberies. He would take the women's credit cards and try to use them at local grocery stores and gas stations.

Green says the suspect is not scared of being caught since he commits the robberies in public places.

Anyone with information on the suspect should call 574-LMPD.
