LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Another Veterans' Administration hospital reportedly has another secret wait list that may have led to patient deaths.
A whistleblower in New Mexico says officials at the VA there have already destroyed incriminating records.
"We don't have an accountability system or a chain of command for vets' medical services and it's showing -- that's why our vets are not getting the services they should," said Georgia Sen. Johnny Isakson.
The scandal first surfaced in Phoenix, with similar claims and dozens of deaths. Adding to the troubles is an analysis of the organization, which found 167 cases of "delay in treatment" have been settled since 2001.
The pay out has been more than $36 million.
Calls continue for embattled Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki to step down, but he still has support from President Obama.
