LMPD: Man arrested for stealing from Meijers and Target stores

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police say they arrested a man who stole from Target and Meijer stores, according to police records.

Robbie Hart was arrested Tuesday evening on Southern Parkway, after police say he stole multiple items from Target and Meijer locations.

Police records indicate that Hart stole merchandise from the Meijer store located at 4500 S. Hurstbourne Ln. on May 5 and May 6. During the alleged May 5 theft, police say Hart reportedly stole seven Fitbits, that were worth a total of $875. On May 6, Hart allegedly stole seven wireless speakers that were worth $1,175.

According to a police arrest warrant, Hart allegedly stole items from Target stores located at 4640 Taylorsville Rd. and 3600 Mall Rd. The alleged thefts took place on April 5 and May 7. Police say the merchandise from the April 5 incident was worth a total of about $700; the merchandise from the May 7 theft was worth a total of almost $1,200.

Both Target thefts were recorded on each of the stores' surveillance video systems. 

Hart was positively identified by police photos. He is charged with multiple theft charges.
