Strandz & Threadz in New Albany hosts their annual Cuts for a Cure May 23
NEW ALBANY, In. (WDRB) -- Strandz Salon & Threadz Specialty Shop hosts their annual Cuts for a Cure FundFest Friday, May 23rd from 6am-10am.
This event is a fundraiser to benefit Camp Quality, a free camp for children with cancer, and Holy Family first grader teacher, Mrs. Mary Briscoe, who's battling brain cancer.
Charitable people are collecting pledges to either have their head shaved or donate their ponytail to Wigs for Kids. All hair benefits economically disadvantaged children in need of wigs due to health issues such as hair loss from chemotherapy.
Shaving your head shows solidarity with those undergoing cancer treatments, and to raise money for cancer research in the process. This year donate money for hair chalk and show your support to Color Out Cancer.
Strandz & Threadz is located at 322 Vincennes Street, New Albany, IN.
