LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a Louisville woman accused of assaulting a 10-year-old boy.

According to an arrest warrant, it happened May 21 around 7 p.m. in the 1700 block of Patton Court in the Park Hill neighborhood. That's where police say 30-year-old Dool Gure struck the boy, who was outside an apartment complex with another child, in the head with a rock and hit him in the leg with a stick.

Police say the boy had a large knot on the back of his hit after being struck with the rock.

The boy's mom, who lives in the same housing complex as Gure, called police and she was arrested the next day. Police say Gure had chased the boy around a JCPS school bus earlier in the day with a milk crate and sandal in her hand, but the bus driver got off the bus and made sure the boy got on safely.

Gure is charged with wanton endangerment and assault (child abuse).
