LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Cheating allegations involving Male High School Principal David Mike sparked a protest Friday.

With Principal Mike's credibility in question, dozens of students, parents and alumni showed up at the Vanhoose Education Center on Newburg Road Friday afternoon to demand immediate action. Carrying signs and shouting "Save Our Schools," the group lined up along the sidewalk to take their case to the public.

, or witnessed their peers being helped, on a standardized test.

Three of the students told us that Mike suggested the students not to mention anything about the help when investigators came to the school last year.

"As you can see, from the ACT and the scores and all that stuff that's going on, there's some really underhanded things going on and I think they're removing the wrong person," said Sherry Mulkins, a parent of one of the students.

At a public meeting on Monday, Mike declined to comment, citing an open investigation by the Kentucky Department of Education.

JCPS spokesman Ben Jackey said the school system hasn't confirmed the validity of the allegations and is waiting for the KDE investigation to conclude.
