UPDATE: I-65 S reopens in Hardin County after fatal accident
An official is on scene to mark a reconstruction of the accident. The interstate highway will remain closed until the reconstruction is complete.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- I-65 South is shut down in Hardin County after a fatal accident involving a motorcycle. Two motorcycles were involved in the accident, according to KSP. One motorcyclist died and the other was flown to University Hospital.
Officials say the road reopened Saturday evening around 9 p.m.
Kentucky State Police received reports of the accident just before 1:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
Traffic was backed up almost six miles to exit 91 for several hours as officials on scene investigated the accident.
