LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - LMPD is responding to a car crash that happened late Sunday night.

A call about the accident came into police at 11:19 p.m. Officials say a black Infiniti was traveling down Mockingbird Valley Road near Mockingbird Valley Trail late Sunday night when the drive lost control.

The car then hit a tree.

"Just one vehicle at this point. We haven't ruled out any factors, but speed appears to have been a factor at a minimum at this point," LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said.

The 16 or 17-year-old male victim was taken to U of L Hospital, according to LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell. The victim's condition is listed as being critical. Another passenger in the vehicle was not injured.
