Borden man killed in ATV crash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating after a man was killed in an ATV crash in New Albany Monday evening.

It happened around 8:15 p.m. on May 26. That's when police say 38-year-old William Duitz of Borden left a house on Monty Drive on an ATV to get cigarettes.

About 45 minutes later, around 9 p.m., a person walking along Monty Drive found Duitz in a drainage ditch after the ATV apparently fell about six feet down a concrete embankment.

Duitz was not wearing a helmet or safety restraint.

Conservation officers say it appears alcohol was a factor in the crash.
