LOUISVILLE Ky. (WDRB) -- Kickballin' for Kids to benefit Kosair Children's Hospital happens Saturday, May 31 at Waterfront Park and will have a special guest this year.

Aiden Johnson, a 9 year old cancer patient at Kosair Children's Hospital, will be the guest of honor and will get to kick the opening roll to start the festivities for the day.

He and his parents started Aiden's Lego Legacy, which takes new Lego donations and gives them to other kids battling cancer.

They have also raised more than $27,000 to benefit Kosair Children's Hospital.

Kickballin' for Kids is a charity event co-hosted by the National Kickball Association and Kosair Children's Hospital.

This adult, co-ed, kickball tournament gives 100 percent of its proceeds directly to Kosair Children's Hospital.

This is the third year for the event, and each of the last two years has brought out 16 teams and many supporters.
