LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested a Louisville woman after they learned that she had illegally received morphine from multiple area hospitals numerous times in the past several years.

According to an arrest report, police say 34-year-old Michelle G. Perez had visited emergency rooms in the Norton hospital network a total of 93 times since 2005. During that time period, she allegedly used four names, seven social security numbers and two date-of-births to illegally obtain morphine to support "an addiction issue."

Police say an employee there recognized her.

Perez also allegedly admitted to doing the same at Baptist Hospital East, Norton Suburban Hospital, and Jewish Hospital Medical Center East, all on the same day: May 26, with varying degrees of success.

Perez was arrested Tuesday afternoon at her home and charged with fraudulently attempting to obtain a controlled substance, among other charges.
