LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Butler was a Sixth Region baseball winner, but will have to wait to find out who its opponent will be in the region final after a rain storm postponed the nightcap between North Bullitt and Pleasure Ridge Park.  The Bears scored five runs in the sixth to beat Holy Cross 7-2.  The final is now Friday at 6:00 pm at St. Xavier High School.  North Bullitt and PRP will play Thursday night at Jim Patterson Stadium after the 7th Region final between St. Xavier and Trinity at 6:00 pm.

Assumption is also waiting to find out its opponent in the 7th Region Softball final.  The Rockets scored seven runs in the third inning and beat Sacred Heart 10-0 in a game shortened to five innings by the run rule.  Ballard led Male 2-0 in the third inning of the other semi-final before that game was called. It will resume from that point at 7:30 Thursday night at Ulmer Stadium.  That game will follow the 6th Region final between Mercy and Butler at 5:30 pm.
