LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Road construction could cause a slowdown for drivers in Henry County this week.

Contract crews will be removing the asphalt and concrete pavement on all four ramps at the I-71 interchange with KY 153 (Exit 28), and each ramp is scheduled to be closed for one week while the pavement is replaced.

The entrance ramp from KY 153 to southbound I-71 is the first one to close, and it closed at 7:00 on Sunday morning. It will reopen again at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 8th. Drivers should follow the signs in that area to detour on northbound I-71 to Exit 34, and then head south.
