LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- As Indiana state officials responded to one injury accident involving an ATV in Washington County, they learned of another in Harrison County.

According to a press release, 36-year-old Jeremy Gilbert lost control of his vehicle and flipped over an embankment. Officials say he was in an open field and alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

The crash happened on Ramsey Lane near Pekin, Indiana. Gilbert was taken to Floyd Memorial Hospital.

In Harrison County, officials say 17-year-old Cody Eastridge was traveling at a high rate of speed on Stuckeys Road outside Elizabeth, Indiana when he lost control and flipped. Eastridge suffered head trauma and a fractured skull as a result of the accident.

The separate incidents occurred Saturday evening. Neither Gilbert nor Eastridge was wearing a helmet or other safety equipment.
