Louisville man receives further charges in car thefts

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - James Strothoff -- a man who was already in jail after allegations that he stole items from multiple vehicles -- is facing brand new charges, according to police records.

James Strothoff was initially arrested on May 20 by Jeffersontown cops.

Police say Strothoff broke into several vehicles and took items that from the vehicles. Police say the thefts occurred from April 15 through May 20.

Louisville Police became aware of Strothoff after he was arrested by Jeffersontown cops after he was caught breaking into a car there.

Police say Strothoff was is in possession of multiple identification cards, Social Security cards, credit cards, and gift cards. Police say Strothoff admitted to dozens of vehicle break-ins after he was read his Miranda Rights.

New charges against Strothoff include multiple theft charges and fraudulent use of a credit card.
