Colonial Trade Faire June 7, 8, 2014 Rob Morris Educational Building 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The Oldham County Historical Society is pleased to announce a temporary exhibit, The Frank T. Barns Iron Collection, which will be on display through Oldham County Day, July 19. Items in the collection date from 1660-1860 and include a variety of items relied upon and used daily in early America. The Fort Boonesborough Foundation acquired the collection which they have placed on permanent loan at Fort Boonesborough State Park. Selected items will be on display in the Rob Morris Educational Building during the upcoming Colonial Trade Faire on June 7, 8.
The Historical Art of Richard Luce Featured During the Colonial Trade Faire At the Oldham County History Center Rob Morris Educational Building June 7, 8, 2014 from 10-4 p.m. Oldham County artist Richard Luce is well-known for his western art, a visual tribute to the old west and its history. A professional artist for over 30 years, Luce was born and raised in Yonkers, NY but harbors a deep love for the American west. He has traveled all over the west to get a first-hand look at his subject matter, hiking the back country of California, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Montana, Alaska and Canada. Through his love of history, Luce has discovered the wild Kentucky frontier of the 18th century.

The best-of-three series is scheduled to begin on Friday at 6:30 p.m., ET while Saturday's second game is set for a 7 p.m., start. If necessary, the deciding third game is set for Sunday at 6 p.m. ESPNU will televise each of the first two games of the weekend, while ESPN2 is slated to provide coverage for the third game. Dirt Bowl Basketball Tournament at Shawnee Park Returns Teams can sign up June 5 Tournament June 21and 22 An iconic part of summer in Louisville, The Dirt Bowl tournament returns to Shawnee Park for its 44th year later this month. The basketball competition and related community events begin June 21 and 22 and will continue on multiple weekends through Aug. 17 - which will be "Super Sunday" featuring the championship game.
