Wildfire forces "sped up" Oregon wedding

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An unexpected guest tried to steal the show at a wedding in Oregon: a wildfire just six miles away.

The smoke could be seen towering over the guests -- but as Michael Wolber waited for his soon-to-be wife April to walk down the aisle, a fire truck arrived, with sirens blaring.

"He says you guys gotta get out," said April Wolber.

"You get to the final minute before it was gonna happen -- to have everything feel like it was falling apart -- it was a pretty crazy reality to be in," said Michael Wolber.

Fire crews told the couple they had 20 minutes to do a sped-up ceremony. As they were leaving to move the celebration the photographer took pictures of bright orange flames glowing behind them.

And the couple says if they had to go back, they wouldn't change a thing.
