Florida graduates holding signs on the street to get jobs

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Graduates in Florida really are hitting the streets to find jobs.

The young men are walking up and down busy a road. They wear their best suits and hold cardboard signs.

One sign reads, "Not homeless yet...take my resume."

The recent grads say they don't mind stopping traffic. They say potential employers like meeting job seekers in person.

"I actually got a parking lot interview the other day," said Jarod Fluck, a graduate of USF. "A guy asked me to step into his car and he gave me a quick interview on the spot."

You can't do what everybody else is doing because it's hard to get ahead.

The young men say they've gotten more leads by job searching on the street, than by searching online.
