LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say a Louisville mom put her drugs in an unlikely place: her child's pink backpack.
According to an arrest report, police were called to a home on Wintergreen Road, near the intersection of Dixie Highway and Johnsontown Road, where police say they received a report that a suspect had stolen medication from a man who lived at that location.
When police arrived, they say they saw 27-year-old Randi Odle and the victim carrying several bags. Police say Odle gave them permission to search the bags and actually dumped them out so that officers could examine their contents.
One of the bags -- a pink child's backpack -- allegedly contained what appeared to be marijuana in a small black pouch. Police say they also found eight individual pills, identified as alprazolam by Odle, in the backpack.
Odle allegedly admitted that the pink backpack belonged to her child -- and had her child's name on it -- but police say it was in her possession.
She was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, receipt of stolen property and possession of marijuana.
