LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The owners of the McDonald's on Hubbards Lane say they are family owned and family focused. On Thursday, they decided to give back to the families in the area.

The store's owners pledged to donate $1 for every Bacon Clubhouse sandwich sold on June 19 between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. The money will go to the Service for Peace Backpack Angel Program, which provides stocked backpacks to students so they are prepared to go back to school. The money will benefit children in the Jefferson County area.

People who visited that McDonald's and bought a sandwich were eligible to win prizes.

The store is also offering free iced coffee until Sunday.
