NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WDRB) -- Police and emergency crews are on the scene of a serious crash involving a van. Police say the 16-passenger van was carrying three adults, including the driver. 


Police say the van hit a tree around 1:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Klerner Lane and Charlestown Road.

The 21-year-old driver was airlifted to University Hospital and the other two were taken to Floyd Memorial Hospital with what police called non-life-threatening injuries. 

Police say the driver’s condition is unknown.

Klerner lane has re-opened.
