Downed power lines in Goshen leave thousands without power Sunday night

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- According to LG&E, about 3,000 customers are without power in the Goshen area near US 42.

Oldham County dispatch tells us the outage is caused by some downed wires. They say the wires arced across the road and caught some grass on fire, but the Oldham County Fire Department was able to get the fire under control.

The crews on scene are waiting for LG&E to fix the issues. Officials with LG&E do not have an estimation on when power will be restored.

Oldham County dispatch says it happened around 12443 West Highway 42 in Goshen just before 10 p.m Sunday night.
