LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say a woman was arrested after she locked herself in a supply closet at a local Circle K, refusing to come out.

It happened at the Circle K on Mt. Holly Road, near Fairdale Road, just after 11:30 p.m. on Monday.

Police say the store clerk asked 31-year-old Amanda Hadley to leave the store more than six times, but she refused. She then allegedly locked herself in a store supply closet, refusing to leave. According to the arrest report, police arrived a short time later and knocked on the door, saying "Police! Come out!" but she would not do so, barricading herself inside.

Police say they were able to retrieve the key to the door, but when they tried to open it, Hadley shoved her body up against it. Ultimately, police were able to shove their way in, and take her to the ground, where she was handcuffed. Police say Hadley tried to drop a bag of suspected methamphetamine behind  some merchandise, but an officer was able to retrieve it. Additionally, officers searched her purse and allegedly found a used syringe, digital scales, two meth pipes and prescription pills.

She was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, criminal trespassing, possession of prescription pills that were not in their proper container and possession of drug paraphernalia.
