IRVING, Texas, June 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- VHA Inc., the national health care network, announced that it has elected three new board members, as well as a new chair.

The three new board members, each elected to three-year terms, include:

  • Michael Butler, president, operations & services, Providence Health & Services, Renton, Wash.
  • Dean Gruner, MD, president and CEO, ThedaCare, Neenah, Wis.
  • Mark E. Larmore, CPA, group senior vice president, CFO and assistant treasurer, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, New York, N.Y.

The new chair of the board of directors is Marna Borgstrom, president and CEO, Yale-New Haven Health System, New Haven, Conn. She assumes the post following Patrick Fry, president and CEO of, Sutter Health.

  • Penny Wheeler, M.D., Chief Clinical Officer, Allina Hospitals & Clinics, Minneapolis, Minn.
  • Gary R. Yates, M.D., president Healthcare Performance Improvement and president, Sentara Quality Care Network, Sentara Healthcare, Norfolk, Va.
